Connecting Integrating Visual and Literary Arts
This April, we’re presenting this year’s final “Artwork of the Month.” We’ve selected a painting by Czech artist Jaroslav Kovanda, created in 2016.
We look forward to receiving your creative submissions, which we expect by May 15 at the latest.
We’ll keep the title under wraps for now. You can send your submissions to us by April 15, 2026, at galerija@ciktrebnje.si.

At the Gallery of Self-Taught Artists, we continue to bring together visual and literary arts! This year’s “Artwork of the Month” literary contest will once again run from the 15th to the 15th of each month, specifically from November 15, 2025, to April 15, 2026.
Each month, we’ll highlight a work of art from our gallery, which you’ll be able to view on our website and Facebook page. We invite anyone who is inspired by the selected artwork to write a short text or poem about it and submit it by the 15th of the month.
A panel of experts will review your submissions and select three winners each month. We will publish the winners’ names on our website. The winning literary works will be presented alongside the artworks at a closing literary evening in the fall of 2026.
