This April once again brings the joint promotional campaign “Forward into the Past,” which the Trebnje Gallery of of Naïve Artists is once again joining.
For several years now, this campaign has been bringing together Slovenian museums and galleries in an effort to present our heritage to the widest possible audience in a slightly different way and to highlight its significance in the modern world.
It will take place between April 13 and 19, 2026, under the title “Museums Connect a Divided World.” At a time when differences between individuals and communities seem to be coming increasingly to the fore, museums and galleries remain spaces for encounter, dialogue, and understanding. Through our collections, exhibitions, and stories, we create space for connection—between the past and the present, across generations, and among diverse experiences and perspectives. The heritage we preserve is not merely a reflection of the past, but a living bridge that connects us and encourages us to reflect together on the future.
Follow the websites and social media accounts of the participating institutions and explore their work, collections, and stories using the hashtags #forwardintothepast, #museumcommunities, #heritageconnects, and #museumwithoutborders. Every post, every project, and every behind-the-scenes glimpse into museum work contributes to a shared goal—strengthening dialogue, collaboration, and understanding in society. We invite you to join our online community. Immerse yourself in the heritage that surrounds and connects us.
